About Alpha Lambda Delta

What is ALD?

Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for academically outstanding freshman. ALD was founded in 1924 at the University of Illinois. Since then, it has grown to include 665,000 students and 225 chapters across the United States.

Who can join?

The UGA chapter chooses its membership by mailing letters each spring to freshman who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher their first semester. These freshmen then have the option of returning the letter with their one-time dues of $25 to become a member.
