January 16, 2003

  • Information will be sent to those new students that received a high enough GPA last semester.  They will be invited to join and to the reception. (Book GA Hall for this! What date?)
  • Initiation will be sometime in April.  The officers will have a rehearsal before the ceremony.  It is planned for either 6:30 or 7 on a Tuesday during April.  We will get fruit and vegetable trays and refreshments.
  • Re-do officer applications and have them available at the Initiation Ceremony.

    • Buffalo’s Trivia Night (January activity)
  • Our next meeting is February 18th at 6:30 p.m.  We will be attaching the tags to the candy bars.

  •  Officer applications are out…Our new Treasurer is Mary Robinson and the Webmaster is Brittany Butts.
  •  We are adopting a child for Christmas time and putting a list of items needed on the listserv.  (December activity)
  •  Next semester, we are having a “Caught you studying” activity where we give out candy bars to people who we see studying with tags that say “sponsored by ALD.”
  • We are looking into doing a build or something with Housing for Housing.
  • Another idea proposed” Trick or treating for canned goods a week before Halloween.  Although this is a good idea and can be done in future years, we have decided to participate in Communiversity’s Halloween Carnival for Athens-Clarke County kids.
  • We are meeting Friday, Dec. 6th to go shopping for our adopted child and wrap his presents.
  • We will not be having a meeting during the month of December (only the wrapping party) due to finals and responsibilities.
